Preserving Memories, An Introduction to Embalming 4pm EST April 10th, 2023
We will discuss the objectives of embalming and how different diseases; medication and trauma can affect the embalming process. We’ll explore several postmortem chemical and physical changes and the role they have on chemical selection. For the last half of the talk, we will walk through the basic steps of embalming including primary disinfection, embalming fluid selection, artery options for injection, cavity fluid selection and best suture options for incision locations. We’ll close with a brief discussion on post embalming care. This webinar is appropriate for embalmers with all levels of experience.
