Constructed of the same materials as the regular lowering device stand, the telescoping model is fully adjustable for hillside setup. Bearing used to mount the shortlinks inside the corner housing of the casket lowering device. Shortlinks are the 3/4" square piece that sticks outside of the corner housing when the side rails are off of the device. One the inside of the housing, the shortlink mounts the bevel gear on the operating end and has a collar screw on the inside of the tail end of the device. These bearings are important to keep the side rails rotating smoothly and therefore lowering the casket consistently and smoothly.
