WEBINAR: Preserving Memories An Introduction to Embalming
The presentation will focus on the basics of embalming. We will discuss the objectives of embalming and how different diseases, medication and trauma can affect the embalming process. We’ll next discuss several postmortem chemical and physical changes and the role they have on chemical selection. For the last half of the talk we will walk the audience through the basic steps of embalming including primary disinfection, embalming fluid selection, artery options for injection, cavity fluid selection and best suture options for incision locations. We’ll close with a brief discussion on post embalming care.
