This screw is mounted on the spider plate and holds the Governor in place. The steel ball 4-GOV20 or 20L sits inside the top of the governor and on the bottom of this part. Important to replace from time to time to keep the governor spinning smoothly.

Part is sold in pairs. These steel balls sit on the bottom and top of the governor shaft. Very important to the proper operation of the governor as it will not spin smooth or evenly without them.

If your device is making a clicking noise or experiencing intermittent lowering speeds, it may be time to replace your governor. Highly recommended to replace the governor brake assembly (4-GOV225) at the same time.
