Gear Grease for Frigid Cemetery Equipment

I am not an embalmer or affiliated with the funeral profession in any way, but by accident, I found a new use for this product. One of my sailing buddies is a retired embalmer and had a couple of tubs of this grease laying around unused. While preparing my sailboat this past spring, I was taking apart the winches which are used to trim and raise sails. I ran out of winch grease and the local marine supply store was closed. I called him, and he brought it over. Tried it and it works as well, if not better, than the stuff labeled and sold for marine use. I am not the least bit surprised, as both sailboat winches, and casket lowering devices use a combination of stainless steel housings and bronze gears.
